- A classic home remedy for sun tan is to mix equal quantities of sugar granules and lemon juice. Using lemon peels apply this mixture all over the exposed skin and go on scrubbing. Go on scrubbing till 20 minutes. Keep for another 15 minutes. This will provide a natural bleached effect.
- Mash out pulp of tomatoes. Apply it on the skin and let it work for 30 minutes. Wash off with fresh water. Preferably use it before evening bath so that skin gets to rest.
- Another mashing remedy is of papaya. Mash papaya with cold milk. Apply it on face and neck regions. This soothes the skin. It also calms the sun affected skin.
- You may add little honey if you have dry to normal skin. Drinking Lassi also helps skin healthy during summers. It is prepared by beating curd smooth enough and adding water to make up to one glass. Take rice and using mixer grind to obtain fine flour.
- Rice flour is also available in market. Make a paste out of it using curd and apply all over the sun tanned regions. Let it dry for 30 minutes then bathe.
- Do not use if you have oily skin. You may add rose water and milk with rice flour to prepare paste. This is for dry to normal skin.
- Topical treatment is necessary but unless you eat healthy the skin will have a hard time fighting odds.
Therefore, eat fresh fruits and salads which provide good amounts of antioxidants and fiber.
